I am so not a cake person and the first time i heard about this place i imagined a simple cupcake with too much fancy nasty frosting on top. i couldn't have been more wrong. Jeff & I first tried the chocolate marshmallow..wow..and with chocolate ganache on top.mmmm. But then, then, I tried the peanut butter chocolate and i couldn't believe that such a wonderful flavor was in my mouth - YUM!
and i know you might be thinking that they are too expensive for just a cupcake and what a waste of money..but this is my rationalization: a frappuchino- almost 4$. a sprinkles cupcake: 3$. so while this is a lot of money for a cupcake i spend soo sooooo much less money at starbucks these days that a 3 dollar cupcake that gives that much happiness to my taste buds is most definately worth it once in a while.
Yesterday a friend from church offered to take care of Aubrie so Jeff and i could have a date night. We had a Yummy dinner at Pei Wei with a gift card from the Lawsons(our babysitters) and then we went to see 'Seven Pounds'. I had no idea what it was about since we usually only turn the tv on every thursday night for the office, so i'd never seen a preview (although now with lost and american idol coming back on there is definately more tv watching going on these days) anyways, if you have not seen that movie..you should. It is..powerful. one of those you aren't sure you want to go through all the emotions to watch again. sooo good.
It was a great day and it was so nice to be able to enjoy ourselves knowing aubrie was in such good hands.
The Lawson's live in Newport so we took aubrie for a quick trip to the beach in corona del mar and made our first, but definetly not our last, stop at Sprinkles before we dropped her off. She loved the waves and watching the seagulls. (she'll grow out of the seagull phase as soon as they snatch some of her food one day) It has been such incredible weather down here this week and the beach was Beautiful!
